Biowatch is seeking an intern to join our hardworking and creative team to:
- provide additional capacity to strengthen overall team effectiveness;
- support planning, coordination and logistics for events (including webinars, seminars and meetings);
- support roll out of our communication strategy;
- provide research support on priority topics and advocacy issues.
About the internship
The internship, which runs from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2027, offers a young university graduate the opportunity to experience an NGO culture and work with experienced and dedicated admin, advocacy and communication teams. You will learn about movement building, community research, and communicating for change.
While the internship is based at Biowatch’s Durban office, you will be required to travel on occasion and stay away overnight.
The monthly salary for this internship is R13,500.00.
Requirements
- Young university graduate.
- Strong communication and writing skills in English and isiZulu.
- An interest in changing the industrialised food system.
- A commitment to environmental and social justice.
