10 October 2015 - 11 October 2015, Rome

Biowatch South Africa is participating in the Civil Society Mechanism (CSM), which facilitates civil society participation in the context of the United Nations Committee on World Food Security.

The CSM, which is taking place at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organisation in Rome, is the largest international mechanism of civil society organisations (CSOs) seeking to influence agriculture, food security and nutrition policies and actions - nationally, regionally and globally.

The two-day meeting is in preparation for the week-long meeting of the World Committee on Food Security (CFS).
